The desktop app is just horrible. I have to reset it atleast once a month because it stops working entirely (as in it won't play any song) My last played playlist/song is never being saved, sometimes the shuffle/repeat option is not being saved and I have to turn it back on everytime I start the app.

Although cache memory helps software run more smoothly, it can significantly slow down your computer, tablet, or mobile device after a while. As you can guess, problems occur when the cache memory isn’t cleaned. Since Spotify is one of the most popular digital music services nowadays, its users should know how to clean its cache. On Macs with a traditional hard disk, such intense data writing task can greatly slow down system performance. Most users have complained about the Spotify app silently writing tens or hundreds of GB of data within an hour or two. Leaving the app open for a day resulted in the app writing more than 700GB of data. Hello, My Spotify app has been extremely slow lately, songs won't play for seconds after I click them and music doesn't play/pause for long pauses after I click on the button, artists won' t load either, nothing at all. This started from nowhere, really. I've tried reinstalling the software, trying the standalone Spotify software but its slow aswell.
